I ordered four plants and had them picked up via courier. The person I spoke to on the phone was knowledgeable, patient, and flexible as I tried to figure out which ones I wanted without actually visiting the nursery. The plants are in amazing shape, and they’re all a good size for their price.

Unfortunately, our experience ended on a very disappointing note. We came in after calling ahead and were told to bring photos of our yard so someone could help us choose plants. Renee spent time helping us, which we appreciated. However, when we asked if there was any discount on an $800+ order, her attitude changed completely. We were made to feel like an inconvenience because it was slightly past closing. The final straw was when I asked for a copy of the handwritten plant list we had just created together. I explained I needed it for my landscaper the next morning, but she took the paper away and refused to let me have it. As we were leaving, she came outside to tell us to leave the property, and when we politely shared our disappointment, she became argumentative. Great customer service doesn’t end at closing time. We left feeling unwelcome and decided to spend our money elsewhere.

Everything was great, knowledgeable staff, seemed friendly enough, until we were about to pull the trigger on an $875 purchase of plants / trees. It was slightly over time, 10 or 15 minutes after closing, and the lady help8ng us took a very patronising tone and attitude with my wife. Calling her "young lady", as if she's was child. "I gave you an inch and you're taking a mile", apparently for helping us past her leaving time and expecting us to be oh so grateful that she wasn't charging for her advice (something they usually charge for apparently). Great knowledge, terrible attitude, feigning surprise that her attitude came across as anything other than patronising. Considering the prices of their plants, they shouldn't be making a huge deal of having the help their customers. Disappointing.

Warm and friendly establishment. The owners seem to love what they do. Well stocked with what you will need for your lawn or garden. Very knowledgeable staff.

I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to one of my favorite new local businesses.. I tracked down Cardinal garden center after seeing a delivery of beautiful laurel plants arrive at my neighbor’s house while I was out on a walk. I immediately knew I wanted to buy my plants at Cardinal because they were of such obvious high quality. Not only do they have lovely plants, but the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and just basically awesome. I’m new to the northeast so they spent plenty of time discussing my new yard’s many landscaping needs and walking me through their inventory. They also have an excellent selection of pots—much better than the local big box stores. On my first visit they helped me choose two large planters for a pair of enormous Boston ferns along with drainage rocks and top-notch potting soil. I also purchased a gorgeous pair of mums for my front porch and a set of boxwoods to later replace the mums. On a recent visit, I found the most beautiful carving pumpkins and a couple of cute decorative ones.
